Objective

Quiksilver is globally renowned for its timeless surf apparel and wetsuits. I was tasked with leading the design and setup of the Homepage template and the Wetsuit Fit Guide landing page experience, successfully delivering both within a 2-3 week timeframe.

Using Shopify’s CMS, I utilized a variety of sections and modules to design and build the Quiksilver Homepage. While these sections were relatively basic, their flexibility enabled me to effectively bring Quiksilver’s branding to life.

The brand’s minimalistic aesthetic allowed the photography to take center stage, playing a pivotal role in defining the overall look and feel, as showcased below.

01 - Landing Page Hub

Within the Shopify CMS, tools like Metafields and Metaobjects are utilized to populate dynamic content. While initially complex to set up, these definitions provide maximum flexibility by enabling templates to display diverse content types based on their values.

This approach streamlines content management, as updates are made directly in the Shopify back end, eliminating the need for manual updates across individual products or themes.

02 - Wetsuit Style Landing Page

This breakdown of the wetsuit style provides users with the essential information needed to make an informed purchasing decision, seamlessly directing them to the Product Detail Page for a closer look and final selection.

Working on these projects not only boosted customer engagement and page views but also provided an opportunity to further expand and refine my design skills.
